Sometimes our logical/rational mind attempts to prevent change, transformation, & growth. There's a part of each of us that likes to stay comfortable, to remain the same, to stick with what is perceived as "safe", especially concerning inner aspects of ourselves, such as our consciousness, soul, & inner-child.
